What Preamp works well with NT1

Anyone has any recommendation of the type of preamp that works well with NT1 for a male singer ?

What is your budget?
Ans: $200

Do you need balanced/unbalanced or digital outs from the pre to your recording interface/medium?
Ans: Balanced/unbalanced

Do you already have a mixer with phantom power?
Ans: Yes I've got a Mackie 1202 VLZ

Do you have other outboard stuff like EQ, compression, etc? Or are you looking for a pre that will include these features?
Ans: No just plain preamp

Do you prefer tube or solid state?
Ans: I prefer tube but of course with that price ... no way ... yah ?

I do know that I don't like the ART MP NT-1 combo for voice. My Mackie is much better. Look into a joemeek, it might suit your fancy.

Here's what I'd do.. Sell the NT-1, add your 200$ and buy another large diaphragm mic..
