What next?

I just finished building my recording studio and I am torn about what I really need to get next. I have a Mac G5 gual2.4/ 3.5 GB DDR SDRAM/ 500gb HD/ Digi 002 mixer console/ behringer ultragain pro-8(bringing my preamp total to 12)/ Focusrite Voicemaster Pro.(single channel pre.)/ Blue bluebird vocal mic./ 1 SM57, 1 EV RE16 dynamic mic./ 1 shure beta 52 kickmic./1 sennheiser 609e mic./ 2 Nainant MSH-1's(overheads)/ MXL 993 mic./ mxl 992 mic./waves dimond bundle. What would you guys invest in next? Are any of these mics pretty much worthless? Any suggestions would be great?

If I was in your situation:
I would think about a couple of versatile large condensers and a pair of small condensers. Depending on your budget.

LDCs:

RODE NT2000 or Shure KSM44 or AT4050 or AKG414 XLS or CAD M179 or SP-B3

SDCs:

AT4051s or Oktava MK 012s or SP-C4s or RODE NT5s or MXL 603/604s or AKG 451

After you get a handle on that landscape you might find it easier to fill in the gaps with a Ribbon or specialised dynamic or two - according to your own particular needs or tastes.
If you started with the KSM44 and AT4051s you wouldn't regret it.

Good Luck.

If I'm being silly, slap me.

If you don't know what you want/need then maybe you don't need anything. If I were you I'd save the money and spend it when I need to.

That said, it does feel good buying new equipment :)

Acoustic treatment?

If that's all sorted I'd go with pezking's suggestion. Crack on with what you've got, buy stuff when you've identified a weakness you want to address.

Im in the middle of builing broadband absorbers with 703 ridgid foberglass right noe to treat my room. It should sound great. Will a pair nice pair of overheads make a huge, or should I say, a 500$ difference?
