What monitoring system controller do you use?

I run a small recording studio in my spare time and am in no way a full time studio. Recently, after many fixes, my board finally called it a day. I am not working on it again. I have decided to transition from a boardless studio. I used it to monitor the mix, communicate with the band via a talkback button and sometimes i used it for extra preamps into my Protools rack. So, what are the good folks on this forum using for this? Time to invest again.

I meant "TO a boardless studio."

You mean an intercom? My first thought was IFB but that would be serious overkill.

I went from the Mackie 24-8 to Central Station for my monitor chain which was a huge improvement in noise floor, stable imagery and perhaps a lesser degree clarity. ( kept the mixer for tracking input monitoring, phones mixes, and talk back for that matter.
