What kind of results can I expect?

Hey guys,

What kind of results can I expect if I purchased an Audiophile 2496 sound card and a Behringer MX2442A Eurodesk Mixer?

Has anyone experimented with a combo like this before?

How's the sound quality?

I don't use either, but for a lower end sound card, Audiophile gets good reviews and I've heard good things all over this board about them (especially compared to SB). On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have been told by numerous sources to stay away from Behringer mixers when I was shopping around for a new one. They don't have the best quality preamps. I'm sure you'll get some more knowledgeable responses though. Good luck!

if you are VERY careful with your gain and dont use the EQ, you can get a decent enough signal from the Behringer......

you wont have any problems with the Audiophile...its only shortcoming is its unbalanced RCA inputs....if you are careful with cabling, that wont be a factor.......
