Through a series of horse trading, I ended up with an MXL V69 Mogami. I thought about checking the tube before I brought it home, but didn't . Now I see it isn't a 12AT7 or whatever up top, but a l'il 5718 soldered directly to the circuit board . What have I got? I cannot ever see myself changing this, but paying some else to go cross-eyed as they unsolder those teeny-weenie leads puts a damper on the whole swap. Or does it? Who else has one? Does the tube last a long time? Enquiring minds want to know. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice.
