I listen to music and hear samples from songs (ex: taking the chorus from a rock song , and placing it into a rap song) How can this be done? Are there any tutorials that explain this process? I am using Cakewalk & Fl Studio do I need additional software or hardware? Also would I need just the vocals of the song that I want to sample? I'm totally confused. Sirflex10 = Idiot

Basically you need the original mix. That way you can for example take away the drums and bass, and add your own.
If you don't have the original mix (in 99.99999% of the cases), you just chop up the song, and tweak the hell out of it.
