which mic would you say is better for recording vocals? the Audio Technica AT2020 or the one i already have, berhinger b-1? they both run about 100 bucks. thanks for your help

Not trying to be a smartass, but which mic is best depends on a huge number of variables (voice, music style, signal chain, etc.). That being said, the more vocal people on this board tend to shy away from behringer mics. I've not tried either, so I cannot comment. Try the AT and see if you like it better. Also check out the Studio Projects B1 at a similar price.
