What do I need to record quality audio on a phone?

Hi guys! I am in need of advice on how to get quality audio/video recordings from my phone. I am a music student who would like to record myself and my lessons. I've been trying to find guides or advice but to no avail. I play the piano, and my phone microphone just cannot capture the vast range of sound from the instrument. My school has professional recording equipment, but I want something that is easy to set up and portable. I do have a budget of about $150, but I would love to hear all your suggestions, whether inexpensive or otherwise.

Well, I happened to notice the Rode VideoMic ME when I was visiting the Rode site the other day. It's well inside your budget and might do what you want although I have no experience with it.
