I have the Yammaha EMX 2300 Mixer. It was something that was basically free. A friend of a friend had to make a power pack as the original one was missing/ripped out.
The desk works fine to a point. I can't seem to get the send effects to work but at this point am not fussed about them.
The problem I do have is that when I turn the desk on I get a ringing sound. It's not noticeable when I'm running music through the desk. Just noticeable when the music stops.
I've done some basic trouble shooting and I don't think it's the cables or anything else like that. I'm assuming it's something to do with the power but as I'm not technical and won't see this friend for a while I wanted to get some idea of what could be causing it.
Any ideas from some of the technical guys?
