I have a soundblaster live. I run my yamahaMD8 into it. I use the md8 as a mixer,,, i dont bother recording with it. I was wondering what difference it would make if I bought a MIA or some other card like this. I was also wondering what a difference it would make to get an ART V3 compressor limiter pre for my rode nt1 mic.
I record with cool edit pro. I have an athlon classic cpu so I have to watch what sound card i get. I dont really need more than one channel in ,,, but a couple would be nice,,, maybe even a breakout box. my motherboard is an asus k7v . Anyone happen to know a good cheap card that will work well with this board?
