weird question

I saw david letterman last night, it was probably a re-run, but the band was awesome, but I can rememebr the name of the band, it had, mother or dog in the title. The singer has HUGE afro (he's white) and sings like he's from the 60's, I love them, but can;t find out the name so I can check them out, Anyone have info on this? If this question is suited for somewhere else, sorry

I'm nowhere near a place where I'd be able to watch Letterman, but from your description of looks and sound I'd guess Wolfmother. They seem to be quite the hype right now.
