Although I'm posting this as a new thread, it is actually a continuance of my last thread about lightning destroying my computer and STAudio DSP24 soundcard. I was never able to find a replacement DSP24 and bought a new Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 firewire interface. This interface only uses ASIO drivers as far as I can determine. After fiddling around for a few hours, I was able to play and record with it using Sonar 2.2 but when I opened up one of my projects that I'd recorded with the DSP24 and its WDM drivers, CPU usage went into the red and no sound emanated. I did select the ASIO option in Sonar and I also tried using the WDM settings but that was even worse. Am I not able to play back my old projects because the WDM recordings are incompatible with ASIO? There's got to be some way I can still edit those projects with the new interface, right?
