Wave device/ audio input

I bought a Mackie Onyx mixer a while ago and recently bought a Onyx firewire to go with it,

it says in the manual that it automatically interacts with the audio software (lists a few, including CubaseSX,Sonar etc) when connected,

with the sequencer i got with the onyx firewire (Traction) it works well and fine but i have to change the "wave device" to "onyx firewire mixer" but i want to be able to use the mixer with Cubase SX but it either doesnt recognise it or there is a way that i havnt found to change the wave device or maybe even audio input. Any suggestions?

Best thing to do would be to read the Manual for Cubase.
Here's a clue though .... Devices > Device Setup > VST Multitrack.
Select the appropriate driver and then setup your VST Connections (provided you have the In's and Out's set to be visible).
