hi,

i thought that it was standard to export audio to wav before burning to a cd? problem is that the files wont play on some cd players? what format should i be using. I am using sonar 2.2 and Nero to burn. Also after exprting to wave the track properties say that it is a PCM format?
please help,
C.

For burning to CD, a file should be 16-bit stereo, 44.1kHz, PCM, .wav format. Nero won't let you get it wrong, as long as you are creating an "Audio" CD, as opposed to CD-ROM, CD-Extra, etc.

As DonF alluded to, when you're burning your CDs, make sure you're burning an AUDIO CD, not a Data CD. If you're burning an audio CD, your PCM files are automatically burned as a .cda file, which any CD player should be able to read.

Where you might run into trouble after that -- and what you might really be experiencing here, -- is that not all CD players will read CD-Rs.
