I am looking for an Audio-Technica RMX64.
In "very good" working order would be nice. Cosmetics, not so much, but the two usually go hand in hand.
I had a chance to buy one years ago and passed.
I've used a Fostex R-8, various porta-studio's and have even tried recording on my computer but there's just something about the 4 track cassette format that, for me, really works. I'm not trying to record the next great concept album, just finish up unfinished songs, and maybe record new ideas if I ever have any new ideas.
With the reel to reel(I also had a TEAC 4 track reel to reel) and also with the computer I end up spending more time "engineering" and learning "computer stuff" than recording music.
I'm too analog for digital, and using a reel to reel which means using a mixing board on top of dealing with mic placement, outboard gear, etc....it's just not what I need to be dealing with at this point in my life. Just wanna record shit and those AT-RMX64's are high quality, bullet proof(and Heavy, too. I know all about that).
So, if any one hears of one up for sale, lemme know.
