vst and VSTi compatability in SX

Does anyone know if free vst's that worked fine in VST32, will operate without problems in SX? If someone knows I would rather not find out mid-project.

Also, the same goes for VSTi's. Here I could see a little more room for problems of compatability being a problem since we are talking a bigger and more complex program, but again I am not sure.

Any help is appreciated.
 
On Pc the VST2 format did not change. Old plugs should work fine.

I own both platforms, but do most of my work on a Mac.
Because SX is OSX only, all plugs will have to rewritten for the new OS.

Now the question is will Steinberg continue with VST on the Mac or go to Apple's new supperior Audio Units format.
