Just bought a used 880 and wnat to download tracks to my computer. The computer is 900 athlon 256 mb ram 30 gig 7200 hd. sound card is a monster fusion with 8? mb on bd. Can go scsi with adeptec 2940 controller if need be. Question 1? What software do I need to have in order to bring the individual tracks to the computer. Question 2? Can I bring the mix in through the digital cable and burn the CD native or do I need to convert the digital format to wav ect before I burn form the computer cdr?. An old anolog head trying to come into the next generation.

VS880

Hey Doc
If you have the original vs880 you can use the scsi to turn it into wave files but only if you use mas mode. This is a plus that I just found out as the other units cant do it. Yes it must be a wave file to burn.
If you have a digital card with spdif you can transfer 2 tracks at a time I think!
Heres the links for the software you download for the original vs880. It will be the second link.
This is strictly for win95
