My current home studio consists of a pair of vs880s synced together. I'm ready to upgrade and have an opportunity to purchase a 2480 for about $3000. I'm a little cautious, however, based on some of the posts I've been reading hear about considerable bugs in the 2480. I'd like to know what some of you think? Is the 2480 a good machine? Could I spend my $3000 elsewhere and come out with a better unit? Honestly, I'd like to stick with the Roland gear because my sons (who are also my sidemen) will be getting the 880's as demo machines and we want to exchange files. However, if there is a better way, I'll consider it!
