hey there,
got a really lame question, hope somebody can still answer it.
trying to put my analog recordings in digital form through cool edit pro, something i've never ever had a problem with....
it always went like this -> analog 8 track goes straight into "line in" and i just hit record.
however, since i have a new pc it doesnt seem to work properly anymore. its still recording but the sound levels are very weird. whenever there's a quiet passage in the song its getting VERY quiet.. it doesnt seem to make problems with louder levels, but the low levels are unlistenable. sometimes the volume goes down that much that you cant hear anything from the song anymore, then the vocals come in and suddenly the background guitar is totally loud again. it really drives me mad... could this be a sound card related prob?
