vocals without music

I want to know an easy way to record vocals without overdubbing the music track so that when I mix vocals solo that is all that I have. I use a berringer mx 2004a, a darla sound card(2 ins: 8 outs), and logic platinum 4.
I have mics x 2 in 1 and 2,
main out r and l into darla in 1 and 2,
and darla out 1 and 2 for (music track)
back into mixer stereo channels.

i'm not familiar with Logic Platinum. Is it a computer based audio recorder? If so, why would you be overdubbing vocals on top of an existing audio track instead of placing the vocals on another track?

Run the vocals out 3 and 4 of Darla. I think you're looping the audio (music) out and back in by using 1 and 2.
