Vocal room suggestions

I have a 12'X14'X8' carpeted room with one window and wood panel walls. I want to use this room for vocal recording and have been experimenting with mic placement and wondering about some basic treatment. I am currently using a rode nt1A with the mic slightly off the very center of the room maybe 1/3 of the way off the 12' wall.

Any advice or comments on mic placement, foam, blankets... fuzzy kittens etc are appreciated
