Vocal Harmonizers

I have heard the vocalist access by digitech with a female vocalist. It is passable for live applications, but if you are recording it sounds fake. Some units sound real and have pitch modulation so it sounds like a real person who is imperfect as opposed to the machine which holds a note as a keyboard would. There is a program Antares for pc that has a very realistic harmonization effect.

Fendermustang: [a new Ford model?]

My Ensonique DP-4 reverb box has a couple of interesting settings which I've used. One is called SWEETHARMONY and the other is NASTYHARMONY.

On an original tune I did a month ago, I used SWEETHARMONY on the chorus of the tune, which repeats the same words. [a country western type tune] It was great, not perfect, but pretty darn good for a black box. As far as buying a box to do vocal harmonies, I suggest you rent one for 90 days and if you like its performance, then go the 800 number route to find the best price to buy a NEW ONE.

Have fun harmonizing,
