Vista64 doesn't like my Firestudio Project

I just got a new system. Here's what it's all about:

-AMD phenom 8450 triple core processor 2.10 ghz
-640 gb hard drive
-4 gb ram
-Windows vista 64 service pack 1

The problem is: My Presonus Firestudio Project doesn't have a driver for the 64-bit OS.
I've checked their site and various others and I've discovered posts in threads on other sites that date back about 8 months or so, where other people were dealing with the same issue.

I'm ready to get back to recording ASAP because my last computer died weeks ago and I've been without my DAW for far too long. I'm considering installing XP on my new computer so I can get things going.

I haven't used Vista in a recording environment yet, so i don't know if it's better for digital audio apps than XP was, but I was happy with XP.

I'm not interested in waiting for Presonus to come out with a Vista 64-bit driver. I'm considering just installing XP.

Other than Vista, and the manufacturer's warranty is there anything else I'd be losing if I go back to XP? also, is it worthwhile to have a dual boot system so I can have both?
