Virtual Instruments Question

I am using fruityloops 3 and 5, cakewalk home studio, and a yamaha keyboard and I wanted to know what's good about downloading virtual instruments and can you find a vst program that have instruments other than what your keyboard or FL have and use them in your beat?
 
They are basicaly the same.They are all based on samples,and not true notes.
Although its possible to have all the notes recorded and used in a VST samplers :D
