Aus.. I'll keep the thread going. It's gonna take me about a week to get over to the guy's house, but I'll try to do a complete inventory of his stuff and list it. I wanna post a pic of the Gretsch as it's a wicked cool electric with active electronics and effects in it. Also some of his no-name archtops are way nice.

oh yeah.. one more thing. If you decide to come to the JamFest this year, we'll bang mugs, eat some food, and do some jamming. I'm not one to hold a grudge and you shall always be a welcome guest here in Connecticut (although..beware... I usually try to get the wife to dress like the gal in my avatar as soon as the warm weather take hold;) )

Talking about unusual instruments.............

I had been going to post a pic in the guitar forum, of the present we are giving my son for his 21st birthday at a dinner tonight, but I'm now wondering if it may offend some overly sensitive people, as it has inlay work on the headstocks of nekked women in an "art deco" style design.

And yes I said "headstocks"..........it is a double neck, 6/12, acoustic electric slimline built by a master luthier out here.

I just can't wait to see my son's face when he opens the case in about 10 hours time:D

IMO the human body is a beautiful thing, and when displayed tastefully, is considered art. The avatar is also my screen saver. My wife approves of it. She say's she'd be worried if I had something different, like say a man, on my screen. People who flaunt babies make me a little worried though... can you say pedophilia? As far as the 57 goes, who cares? I'm not the type of person who will go back on something I feel strongly about so that I won't lose a $50 sale.

I wasn't looking for you to go back on anything.. I was sorta wishing you would just shut up. I kinda figured it was your baby in your avatar, and for what it's worth, I apologize for any comments I made regarding it (I should have never attacked at such a personal level, and for that I am truly sorry). But could you please give this thing a rest... it's getting pretty old. If you felt so strongly about my avatar, why haven't you mentioned it before? I've only had the same avatar for about a year now, not that I'm in any hurry to change it. You obviously haven't checked out some of the avatars floating around here. Some of them make mine VERY tame in comparison. All this over a silly avatar... it's pretty ridiculous.......

Phew.. back to normal. Bdgr, It's gonna take me possible into the middle of next week to hook back up with this guy, as we're having a logistical problem as to when we will both have the time to get together at his place for an extended amount of time so I can try to inventory all the stuff as best I can, and try to take usable pictures of everything. I'll check into the casio. I think he's looking for offers, which makes it a little more difficult, but I'll try to get some info on it, and try to get a ballpark figure out of him. As I said in a previous post, I'm not too sure where this guy's coming from. I can't figure whether he's just looking to unload all this stuff for some quick cash, or if he's thinking it's his retirement. We'll get a feel for where he's coming from as we go I guess. If he's way out of the ballpark, I'll probably still post stuff, but I won't expect anything to move.

Still trying to get it together with my bud. He's got a couple of things going right now.... He's got a window washing thing, plows snow (we're getting more snow tonight if you can believe it.. grrrrrrr), and does landscaping, so he's pretty tough to nail down, but I'm trying. I know I have to get together with him later in the week or on the weekend as I have his landscape trailer here, and I have to get it out of here, and he's leaving his snowplow somewhere here out in the back 40 for the summer... ...hopefully I can nail him down to getting over to the gear while we're at it.

Cool just curious, no big deal. Yeah this snow is nuts. I'm just south on Toronto in Canada and it's insane up here right now. I love it in Nov-March but honestly this is April. :(
 
well.. grrrrrrrrr.. nothing new to report here. I don't know what's going on (or possibly, what went on between my buddy and his friend, but I can't seem to get a straight answer out of him regarding te two of us geting over there to invetory the stuff and get pictures. I'm still trying on my end, ab will continue to until he comes right out and says it's a bust. Sooooo... all's not lost, yet, and I will keep trying to get a handle on what's going on. It's tough being the middle man as I'm sorta floating around trying to get something to happen, but I don't know what's going on between the other two parties involved. Just wanted to let you all know. .......heh... ...the best made plans:rolleyes:

I'm still trying to light a fire under my friend's butt to get something going on this, but it's like beating a dead horse. I have a feeling that he hooked up with this guy somehow, got some gear off of him, and now has no use for him, and the prospect of getting into really helping the guy liquidate his gear(and all the work it'll be on our parts) ain't jiving with him. I'm not too happy about this change of attitude, but what's a guy to do. Like I said, I'm still trying, but I do have to go through the middle man as I don't really know the guy who has the gear (I met him once when I went over to see the gear the first time with my friend), so I'm not too comfortable barging in there and taking over the task behind my friend's back... ...and I've asked my friend if he can arrainge it so I could do just that, and nothing doing. It's a strange situation, and I'm really not too sure of what to make of it.




....he didn't have any problems coming over the other day and waking my ass up so I could weld his bumper back on his truck so he could haul his landscaping trailer, though... ...go figure...
