Hey Guys,
a friend gave me a vintage American D4 microphone-- it looks pretty cool and its in great condition! Here is an older pdf Data sheet for this mic: http://www.ronharter.com/documents/am_d4.pdf
I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with this type of mic, . . or if the mic might work for a particular type of recording applications, . . or is it best suited for live stuff?
The D4 and the D4T's seem to be popular among harmonica and harp players, and I believe that this D4 is the low impedance version at 30 ohms. . .does anyone know the polar pattern of the D4?
Anyway, I was just curious if anyone out here has ever used the D4 or D4T. .or have any ideas what area this mic might shine. Any info or help would be appreciated. . .
