Vegas 10

SONY sent me an offer to upgrade my ancient copy of Vegas that still works great with the new version that handles some formats (that didn't exist at the time) that mine won't for $139.

Anybody tried this stuff yet?

Are you talking about the Vegas 10 Pro? If so, looks like the upgrade price is a good deal. The Studio version goes for about $80 new. It does a lot and handles AVHDC natively.

They sweetened the offer to include an update to DVD Architect and audiostudio10 along with a collection of sound effects for the same price.

Given the time between my purchase of qualifying SW the upgrade price becomes a very reasonable annual subscription tab for supporting improvement of the platform(s).

I'll attempt to review what I can when I get it.

I don't even own some of the hardware this package covers.
