I would like to ask anyone who's an advanced VS-840EX user whether it's possible to record my electric guitar tracks through/via the "EXT IN" mode? Basically, if I can, I want to bypass the Roland's main circuitry so I don't get all of that compressed audio on my tracks? Has anyone figured out a way to record on the VS-840EX using a method that avoids all of that "automatic compression"that happens normally through the main Roland recording inputs? I think this might sound way more realistic & natural than it would otherwise...any commentary on this matter? Thanks a lot!
