Using PA as monitors

I own a Kustom KPA system, about 80W or so. If I use my recorder directly in, can it be used as monitors for mixing if the EQ is flat?

You can, but it won't be anything like real studio monitors. Especially considering the quality of those lowend kustoms.....

the first mixes I made were on my fender passport PA. They were terrible, but I learned a shit ton of stuff while I was doing it. gotta start somewhere

i tried using my PA once.. i actually got worse results than using my cambridge soundworks PC speakers.

PA monitors are NOTHING like studio monitors... you'd be better off with cheap computer speakers than trying to use a PA...

You would get better results from a boom box (without the 'stereo wide' switch turned on) or your home stereo or even headphones.
