Using outboard rack stuff in my daw?

Bassically i use a imac. g5, with logic express 7, and an edirol fa 101. Id like to be able to use some outboard effects and processors with this system, but without mixing on a external mixer. so bassically i want to send my signal to the prossesor, and back to the computer, ideally through the buss section in logic.

Is this possible?
And how?
 
Only if you send the output of the 101 through an FX processor and re-record the output of the FX back into the 101.

Why aren't Logic's FX plug-ins not good enough?
