using desiccant drying packets when storing tape, good idea?

You know those little square packets you find in jacket pockets when you buy a new jacket, or in guitar cases when you buy a new guitar, they're meant to remove moisture.

Is it a good idea to put one of these packets inside the box or plastic bag that contains the tape? It might help prevent sticky shed syndrome. Anyone recommend this?

I think you can buy those packets cheap.

A vacuum sealed bag and storing your tapes in a temperature and humidity stable storage environment, (around 70F), is your best defense against sticky shed syndrome.

The Silica packs won't hurt either but they are not a total solution all by themselves.

Cheers! :)
