USER Preset On Alesis QS 6.1

I accidentally deleted the USER preset on my Alesis QS 6.1
I tried everything to get it back, but I can't.
Is there someway I can get those instruments back?.....without having to buy another one.

Here is a link to the original user bank in SYSEX format. If you had programmed custom patches and didn't save the bank with a MIDI librarian or something like that, there gone.

But can you briefly tell me what to do with that syx. file?

You can reload the original presets using the utility at the link below. Just install this program and configure the MIDI IN and OUT ports. Then load the SYX file and hit play. If all works correctly you will see your QS displaying the message "Receiving MIDI Data".

If you are running WIN2000 you may have some problems sending the data with this utility as it seems to have some buffering issues. It works fine with Win 98 (I've never tested it in Win XP)
