The "user" output (when you want to use the pads and produce your own drums) on my Alesis SR16 is about half the volume of the presets when I connect it to my digital recorder or an amp. Is there a volume control that I don't know about? I am using the main outputs.
When I turn up the main volume to get the same volume as the presets I get an ungodly and unuseable signal, i.e. background hiss.
I hope it's my ignorance and not the unit. I have looked all through the manual and cannot figure this out. It worked fine when I first got it.
Have I inadvertently punched some wrong button and if so, how do I restore it?
