Its strange the Fender story and now it kind of competes with itself, the Cheapest Line made <enter cheap location> and the Mexican, the Japan, the Korea, the US new, the US old, the Custom Shop , the re-issue Classics, and did I leave some out? then Squire has 100 lines and versions...wow...so does Mexicos line has even a California series in the 1990's... I bought a Squire 51 6 string and then Fender copied the Squire and released a Fender 51...made in Japan.... Fender has its own shootout fans buying guitars not to make music but to make youtubes to compare....it seems like?
