I'm ready to buy a computer recording interface and was wondering some opinions on the matter. What I would need is 2 phantom powered XLR's and some controls on the actual unit. Do any of then have a preamps built in? Also I would like to stay around or under $350. I originally was going to just get a mixer and record analog to my computer, but it seems everyone is going this route. I will only be recording an acoustic guitar and vocals mostly. Does the sample rate matter? Should I get one with 24-bit/192kHz? Thanks for any recommendations. Also is this new Alesis iO series any good?
