Hello! I'm back from a long pause in recording. I've been really busy studying guitar in college and ended up selling my aardvark Q10 and mics and stuff. So I'm looking to get started again, I've got a couple of groups and solo stuff I'm doing and would love to get some down. I'd also like to collaborate with a visual arts friend of mine, maybe do some soundscapes or something. I am going to have approximately $700 to spend, maybe a little more. I'd like to use a USB device, however my USB port on my laptop isn't a USB 2.0 is that ok? Will this largely affect my recording?
Anyway, that's my budget and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've done some research but really don't know where to go with my money.
