Hi there,
I got scammed by a guy on eBay (sweet_sound_audio, AKA Jeremy Grant)...
He sold me what he said was a working, low hour, v4.03 blackface ADAT. When it arrived, I discovered that it doesn't work... the motion sensor switch is fryed so it won't accept a tape (error 2, it kicks out the tape as soon as it's installed), and, none of the hardware mods were made to it, so it won't work with the v4.03 software eprom he installed, even if the motion sensor switch was fixed (if possible).
So, does anyone have the Alesis service bulletin that tells how to do the hardware mods to an early blackface ADAT (the version with silkscreened logos instead of the later version with the stick-on logos) so that it will work with v4.03 software?
I'm not new to troubleshooting and repairing electronics... I just need the information on what I need and how to do it. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
