Unusual pairing...

The Commodore 64 or Sinclair ZX Spectrum were the manufacturer's choices for automating the Studiomaster II mixing desk in the late 80s, despite the fact that the Atari ST or the PC had more resources available for the task in hand and that the software to run the process had to be loaded from cassette.

Granted, the two machines were affordable, well known and had been around for a while (since 1982 as it goes). But I would struggle to give credibilty to the fact that a slow, crash-prone unit like the Spectrum or the games-centered Commodore could perform the task to which they were set with rapid fluidity, or true professionalism. (Mind, I'd say the C64 could have done, on second thoughts).

Anybody else know of some pretty strange couplings?
