tube preamp mod for balanced input

Hello,

I have my Sony sra-2 tube preamp and I love it dearly, but because of unbalanced inputs I can not use longer cable lenghts. I was thinking about adding Input transformer. I did some research, people write that good input trafo for tube preamp is Jensen JT-115-KE also Cinemag CMMI-10C (I cant find those on ebay dough)

Im not a tech but I have one who will do it for me. What should I be aware of when matching trafo to the circut?

Is there any other way to balance preamp input in order to use longer (10-15 m) cable lenghts?

regards

open it up and trace the circuit. from the mic input jack . if you run into a transistor first, then the tube (like the sr-3) you'll need a 1:3-1:5 transformer like a jt 13k6-c and if your adding phantom you might want to go get the one up (jt 13k7) to handle hot level condensors.
