Triton Extreme or Rack

What exaclty is the tube thing for?What differences are their between the Rack and Extreme besides the lack of keys, wheels, and tube?
 
Also it seems as if the Triton Rack is QUITE old.Are their any plans to make a new rack, I mean since The motif ES rack came out you would think they'd make a new one'?
 
Ok, after reading more reviews, it seems the Rack will do, the Exteme has the same sounds as the rack?I read the tube isnt special, it is useless?
 
also what are the differences between the Trinity and Triton, I remember seeing someone on hear said they used both of them :confused:
