Transferring beats/tracks from MOTIF to PT

save as standard midi file (don't forget to choose whether or not you want bank and/or sysex info saved with it).
open/import *.mid file in protools. you'll need to configure the midi in PT to make it work. the tracks should all be set to the right channel by default (i.e. they'll line up with the tracks/instruments in your multi program), but you'll need to tell PT what port the motif is on, on a track by track basis.
make sure the motif is set for midi control.
