I just recently added a sax player to my latest project. I have to write out a little bit more than I'm accustomed to, I wonder if anyone has had really good experience with any freeware notation programs?

I'm kinda looking for something that can transpose so its easy to arrange for sax.

Yep. Try Lime. Here's the link:

It's a trialware version that gives you like 70 or 80 uses, after which you're supposed to purchase the program. I think it's about $65 or so. But if you don't want to buy it, you can just uninstall your old one and re-download the trial version from the site again.
