I have used Cubase on the Atari ST and on the PC, Logic on the PC, use protools when there's nothing else available, used to use Cool Edit until they sold it to Adobe and then I found Tracktion.
It has a single screen, uncluttered GUI (Graphic User Interface), sounds great and has easy methods and tools to very quickly shape an idea into a song. It works with VSTfx and VSTi softsynths and sound modules and comes with many of them included in the package.
Thank you, i dled the demo and it works well right up to the point where it locks up my computer and not even Ctrl-Alt-Delete works. I have to forcfuly power down and restart. other then that it seems ok.
