Does any know of a good site/on-line article/free download concerning tour management?
I know this sounds like a pipe dream, but someday I would like for our band to tour regionally in the Midwest. That is, after getting some attention from our on-line album (which is still a work-in-progress).
Is it best that tour management be contracted out to an outsider or is it something that we could do on our own? If we contract the work out, what is a fair percentage?
To use a worn out cliche, am I "putting the cart before the horse?" Should I first worry about completing the album and then worry about touring later?
I've always believed in being one step ahead in order to ward of any future complications.
Any help will be greatfully appreciated.
