Tortoise Pickguard for Vintage Jaguar?

I'm going to put a pair of '62 reissue pickups in my '64 Jag. I know, I know, I should find old pickups (and I will eventually) to put in there, but I found a deal on these and I really want the humbuckers OUT OF THERE! The previous owner messed with the pickups and I'm trying to get it to at least look and sound like a Jaguar again.

And admittedly I would probably use a reissue pickguard, since the original is sadly cut to fit the humbuckers, but as you probably know, the reissue pickguard won't fit on the old Jags.

Other than sending a trace of my pickguard to get one custom made, where would I find a replacement pickguard for a vintage Fender Jaguar? An actual vintage replacement would be great..does anyone specialize in stocking this type of thing?

And why does the new tortoise design look so different from the old? Why can't they get it right? The new stuff is never swirly enough and it's always too dark!

Check out Vintage Guitar magazine:

- they have loads of listings for guys who deal with every possible combination of vintage stuff.

I also heard about this magazine - but don't know if they have what you want:

As for finding a 'shell guard - good luck!

I've been looking for one for my Strat for two years - and I still have the 'wrong looking' re-issue.

Maybe somebody should go into business making them look right.

I'd buy one!
