Tobias Growler

I've been thinking about buying a used Growler, any opinions? I'm a staunch Stingray fan and this seems like a cool alternative bass for me.

the neck will probably be quite a bit thinner than your stingray. and dont tobias use bateloni pickups? i think those sound different than what you would be used to.

my old bassist tried out everything under the sun looking for the perfect bass. he tried tobias and passed on it, though that was just his personal taste. he had a stingray for ages, a couple of ibanez 1305s, and now he has a 5 string fender i think.

What about quality?

Thanks for the comments. I'm not looking for a bass that sounds exactly like my Stingray, in fact I'm mostly concerned with the quality of the bass. I hear that Tobias basses made by Gibson are a good deal inferior to the original builders.
