In another thread on recommendations for sound cards you said
"I've heard great things about the RME cards, also some plauge-like problems."

I'm seriously looking at trying a multiface. Could you elaborate a bit on what you have heard?
 
The better person to speak to about this topic is pipelineaudio. Give him a PM or email. He's had plenty of trouble getting the RME hammerfal system to work with Vegas audio but I'm sure he's researched the issues enough to give answers about the system you plan on running it on.
