TL audio Fatman

They have a lot of color to them. So much so I wouldn't want it to be my only mic pre. I like mine and use it. It's cool for a bass DI and it can be cool on certain vocalists. By the way, mine is the Radius 5 Fatman 2 (pre and compressor in one box).
 
Are just these additions to pres and comps you already own or is this going to be a primary recording channel?

Not sure about the Bellari pre but I'm guessing at the price it's a starved plate tube design, I generally steer clear of toob gear in that sort of price range. The one time I had access to a fatman we didn't actually end up using it on anything but I'm sure it would be good for some things, just wasn't right for anything we were after at the time. As has been said it gives a lot of its own sound so probably not a great choice if it's your only comp.

That's makes a great pre+comp dual recording channel.
