Time Signature Messing up my Audio!

Hey all,

I know this has been asked before, but the solution didn't work for me, and since it was in 2010 Reaper has changed a bit and so I couldn't follow the instructions because some of the options were different.

Basically, I have a song with some time signature changes (from 3/4 to 4/4 and back again), however, when I change my time signature the audio that I've already recorded is altered. For example, when I change the time from 3/4 to 4/4 it stretches and slows down.

So essentially, I want to disable the time signature's affect on the audio (it doesn't affect MIDI).

I assume it has to do with matching the audio to the beats & bars, but I've tried messing with some options with no avail.

This is very frustrating, please help!

Merci

EDIT: Nevermind! I found a solution - shift+C ftw. I'd delete this post if I knew how, sorry for the inconvenience!

No need to delete. People might be wondering about this and you edited to include the solution so people can learn from it. I know I did.

Right Click on BPM or Tempo by your master transport controls.
In the menu select playrate,
Then check "preserve pitch in audio file playback".

Hope this helps, it's working for me when I tap tempo.
