Thunder

I'm not sure where to posrt this but I need a thunder sound. I good one if possible. Like the thunder you hear in the older horror movies with out rain. Can anyone please help me?

Last year i had some fun with a couple of (partly) hidden floor monitors, a mic on the front porch and some kooky-custom pcm-80 space-delay-pitch shift-on-the-verge-of-feed-back patches for the local goblins.
Bout time to start ramping up for this year's adventure... Thank's for the reminder.

Try an Alesis Airfx.

Get a large piece of sheet metal and shake it. Start slow and build up. This works great for the rolling type of thunder then snap it quickly for the final hit.

Add some delay and rain sounds and you're all set.
